I currently work for AMSEC, a subsidiary of Huntington Ingalls Industries. I’m willing and enthusiastic to learn new things. Recently put in charge of “redlining” prints of all Radar spaces on Nimitz Class Aircraft Carriers. I’m a creative and highly motivated individual with training from “Increasing Human Effectiveness.” I have recently received my Associates Degree (form Olympic College) in Technical Design. I have five years of experience with AutoCAD and I’m familiar with Windows 7 and Microsoft Office 2010 products. I have also worked various production tasks aboard carriers and have excelled at learning new skills & assisting more senior coworkers with complex tasks. Secret Clearance. Proficient with AutoCAD 2010 and previous releases. Capable of 3D drafting in AutoCAD 2008 and newer. Familiar with Shipboard power and data collection including: equipment coordinates, serial numbers, hand-over-hand cable verification, collection of switchboards, transformers, ABT/MBT’s. Responsible for the collection of rack mounted equipment, such as: power distribution units (PDU’s), universal power supplies (UPS’s), RAID arrays, routers, switches, modems & firewalls, as well as Navy proprietary systems. I also perform data entry of collected systems and draft Power Block Diagrams and Feeding Trees. I regularly use Access & Oracle databases. Experienced with international travel. I also review electrical and mechanical engineering documentation, reports, specifications, and equipment layout, Damage Control (DC) and compartmentalization drawings to determine documentation and material requirement. I take the initiative and have created a Dynamic Block Library, made custom CAD toolbars, buttons, and Lisp routines tailored to TSIMS procedures, and make regular contributions to the Block library. I’m also learning and have written some AutoLisp routines to assist in the drafting/QA process.

Lighting SID Prep on CVN-68 & 73 Using “go-by” references, I used AutoCAD to designate shipboard lighting circuits for removal & drafted in lighting, and associated wiring, for install.

SSSP data collection on LSD-44 (in conjunction with PSNS personnel from building 290) I performed consistent SSSP data collection and quality field sketches of installed equipment and related wiring.

ACCIT (Aircraft Carrier Climate Control Improvement Team) I was a team lead and had anywhere from 6-8 shipsforce assigned to me for the maintenance of ships ventilation systems. I lead by example and was responsible for knowing all cleaning procedures, safety, acquiring gas free, inspecting finished work, coordinating with ships force in gaining access to spaces, writing up deficiencies, and making simple repairs. Our team consistently met our quota for the day and repaired/replaced diffusers, stripped threads, filters, and repaired improperly maintained equipment.

ESU (Elevator Support Unit) Firewatch with ESU, however, my daily duties range anywhere from running argon hoses, lagging, painting, assisting more senior members with repairs of corrosion, leveling elevator cars, rebuilding hydraulic accumulators, repairing safety boundaries, replacing cables on hanger divisional doors, and more. CAD technician and project QA. I worked as part of a team that that created Interactive Electronic Training Manuals (IETM) from legacy documents. Content of the manuals ranged from: interactive illustrations and flow charts, to wiring diagrams for complex systems such as radar, communication, and flight controls. I regularly used AutoCAD, IntelliCAD, Acrobat, MS Office and its equivalent. Common IETM tasks I preformed were: data entry, grouping like items, assigning flow, linking drawings and performing QA. I utilized interoffice Email to communicate project status and I took part in QA meetings. I actively found and communicated problems & solutions with the project spec and in-house software.

Responsible for the maintenance of registers, printer carts, PC’s, printers, phones etc. With the assistance of tech support I repaired a damaged charging system on a printer cart, identified damaged network components and successfully implemented repairs; including running and crimping Cat5 cable.
